The Sadie Family Wines – Pofadder
The Sadie Family Wines – Pofadder is named for shape of Riebeek Mountain, origin of old cinsaut vines. 2019 riper than 2018 (4.5 stars, 91 pts) (the vines were better buffered against drought says Eben Sadie). Theres depth & complexity in its perfume, a sophistication of red fruit & spice, enriched on the well-fleshed palate. Soundly built, the youthful tannins in equilibrium with richness & concentration. Memorable.
In the glass, our Cinsault reveals a captivating ruby hue, hinting at the depth of flavor that awaits. Aromas of ripe strawberries, red cherries, and delicate floral notes greet the senses, inviting you to explore further.
On the palate, this wine delights with its soft, velvety texture and vibrant acidity. Flavors of juicy raspberries, cranberries, and hints of spice unfold gracefully, leading to a smooth, lingering finish that leaves a lasting impression.
